Four Component (4COM) Home Repair Loans

Also known as the Section 504 Home Repair program, this provides loans to very-low-income homeowners to repair, improve or modernize their homes or grants to elderly very-low-income homeowners to remove health and safety hazards. Home Repair Services is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and your contribution is tax-deductible. Many of the repairs posted here should only be considered as a last resort for a broken camera that would otherwise be considered for disposal. Sweat equity can include helping in the Habitat office, approved home repair workshops, and preparing your house for repair.

Remember that homes have other costs — such as utilities, maintenance, and repairs — that may not exist if you rent. Once the application is received and reviewed, The Home Repair Program Coordinator will inspect the home to assess the project requirements and cost, which are added to the application.
